Which HID / LED Headlights color is the brightest ? Is White more brighter or Blue ?

                           If you are amongst the headlights enthusiasts and are wondering whether white color is the brightest or blue or perhaps purple ? As a HID Headlight installer for three years , I will try to give you a brief explanation of what color temperatures are first. HID headlights come in various colors temperature such as 3000k ( Golden Yellow ) , 5000k ( OEM White ) , 6000k ( Diamond White ) , 8000k ( Iceberg Blue 8000k ) , ( 10000k Deep Blue ) , ( Exotic Violet / Purple Color 12000k ) , so those are the various color temperatures , as the color temperature increases the light intensity ( Brightness ) decreases , in other words the lower the color temperature the higher the light out. Therefore if you want to get the brightest headlights / fog lights possible I would recommend to choose either 5000k / 6000k or 8000k colors for headlights and for fog lights I would recommend to get the 3000k ( Golden Yellow ) . All the other colors such as Green and Purple etc are only meant to be used for show cars and are not recommended for headlights / visibility use, because it defeats the purpose of having HID headlights if the brightness is not there.

Which Hid Headlight Bulbs & colors are legal and Illegal ? Is Blue color Legal for Headlights ?

            The most common question that gets asked is which Xenon HID colors are legal and which are illegal ? Are Blue Lights legal ? are yellow lights legal ? when you will see many fellow drivers with different kinds of lights , purple , for instance and Green to match his or her Low Rider's colored vehicle .. so how do you find out. From my experience as a professional HID Lights Installer, I always tell my customer as long as your headlights do not distort / disturb the oncoming traffic you are fine ! Said another way as long as your headlights do not blind the oncoming traffic you are good to go. Now you are thinking what about color ? I usually buy from this site , the reason why is because they have an OEM White color option , generally speaking in terms of Legality of street legal HID Headlights / Light bulbs the whiter the color the better. I would personally recommend white HID lights then Blue or any other color  , the reason is because any other color besides white color will  distract oncoming traffic and give a reason for authority to give you a citation.
